Many people had other responsibilities today and I greatly
appreciate them taking the time to stop by. Our thoughts and prayers go
out to Tom T and his family.
When it was all said and done, we had 16 visitors stop by
to check out the action. A few had been around G Scale railroads
before. Most were there to see what it was all about and to see the Live
Steam engines in action. Ages started with Engineer Tim at 7 years to
......... well ...........5? maybe ..... 6? .. ahhhh .... ok, nuf said!
The final steam engine cuffed it last plume about
8pm. By 9:30pm the last chair was put up and thoughts wandered to planning
for the next event.......................

Dave stops at the depot to pick up a load of Mole
pelts from Bog & Bird Taxidermy. No one's really sure where
they got them all. |

The DC&H Ruby blows of some steam as it pulls
out. |
 |

Ruby pulls out of Petticoat Junction with another
load of Dynamite for the Stump Blowing Contest on the 4th. Icky
Bog and Dickey Bird used the last load to rid their front yard of
moles! They may not have a front yard any more but they don't have
moles either!! |

Tom's Pierce Countess is a model of a Welshpool
& Llanfair Railroad, of Wales, locomotive, that was built in 1903,
and is still in service today. The coach is a prototypical
Welshpool & Llanfair coach, built from a Brandbright kit by our
resident craftsman Don Martin. |

Tom's Stanley stops at the crossing when Icky's dog
Stumpy makes another dash across the tracks. You'd think the dog
would have learned? |

Tom's Stanley pulls out of the station after dropping
of a group of accountants attending a conference put on by Skin &
Flint Financial Services. |

The crossing guard stands watch, keeping those
blinded by the afternoon sun from stepping in front of the Tram. |

This poor Bantam found itself a new home. As
the sun set, it was still waiting to be run. The owner, long gone! |

Dave's Grasshopper made
it's appearance once again. Check out this 15
second video.

Once again, I would like to thank everyone for stopping
by. There was lots of good food and conversation to be had. I would
also like to thank Bev, Kim and Kelly for taking the time to watch over the food
and keep us all well fed.
Until the next Steam-Up remember if there is steam coming
out of it, don't sit on it!
