Steam-up 04-13-02

Home Up

Spring has finally arrived and I couldn't resist having a steam-up.  The temperature was up around 64 degrees and with the sun shining we couldn't have asked for much more.  The hardest part was all the standing water from the rain the night before.  Snow never stopped us from steaming, why should a little rain and mud!

Just sitting on the deck watching the Live Steam Engines going by.  Now this is the life!

Alex and Bill had to take their turn at relaxing.  That steaming is hard work you know!

Bill is leading the good life now.  Being retired with such a loving and understanding wife, what more could he ask for!  *

You got to be a Real Live Steamer to wear a hat like that!  Tom never misses a chance to boil water.  *

This was Alex's first time at a DC&H steam up.  I'm not sure that the other guy ever goes home!  At least Tom's wife always knows where he is.  *

Tom T was able to stop by for a while.  Unfortunately he had to work the first half of the day and then had another engagement later in the afternoon.  Glad he made it though.  Like Tom M once said, "It's not a true steam up if Tom T doesn't show up."  *
The following link is a 15 second video of Bill's Argyle in action.
