DC&H Relocation

Home Up

We put it off as long as possible but it was time to take up the track and move on to a new home.  Many hands make for light work and the track was quickly removed, washed and boxed for winter storage and then a new home.

Here you see SteamTom1 taking great care not to bend up my track couplers!

"I lined up my second shot from behind this tree..."
Everyone was focused on the task at hand!

We derived a lot of enjoyment from this track and I really look forward to the development of the new raised layout in the spring.

I want to thank all my great steaming friends for many hours of enjoyment and their help in dismantling the DC&H.  If it wasn't for them I would still be out there, in the snow, picking up track!

You can bet that the new raised track will be great for steaming with 20'+ diameter turns, long straight aways and a sizable steamup yard!  The plans for this winter are to build my own turnouts, plan the layout and possibly start on some of the sections so at the first sign of spring, the track goes down!!
