DH2004 - Friday

We'll start the day off with some images of the new mogul.

The new Accucraft 2-6-0 Mogul.  The engine looked like a good runner and pulled a nice consist of cars with no problem.  My understanding is that it will be available in two versions.  Unfortunately I don't know the road name of the first version with the #2 plate.  The second version will be unlettered with a star on the smoke box door.  The tender is solidly built of brass and is supposed to be hollow.  Serving no functional purpose but it definitely looks good and could easily hold your R/C equipment.

The engine was developed to be a basic entry engine.  So there was no tender pump, site glass or other such add-ons, only the basics you need.  A blow down valve will be included as well as the drain valve on the bottom of the oiler.  This unit had a pressure gauge but I am not sure if one will be included.  Word was that the Suggested Retail would be $1,299.  Of course the actual street price will be determined by your Retailer.

This "O" Gauge was a beauty.  Totally hand built and all stainless steel.

This engine ran around the medium size track with a huge consist and literally just crawled along.  Incredible pulling power!
