05-27-01  So much has happened in the last few weeks I just can't keep this web site updated.
Two new buildings have been created in the last week based upon plans from Garden Railways Magazine's Lobster Shack.

This is my first storage shed, covered with Aluminum pop cans.

BevsBaitShop.jpg (81719 bytes)

This is Bev's Bait & Tackle shop.  My wife is finishing the paint job as I write.

The pool expansion continues at a fevered pace.  In between rain showers I have dug up and moved dozens of wheel barrels of dirt, laid out and cemented the new water falls and put in another 45 feet of track.

The family pitches in with the planting.

Planting nears completion on the back side of the mountain.

Pond-NewPlants.jpg (125626 bytes)

The rain fall has left everything muddy but the planting continues, even in the pond.

WaterFallFinished2.jpg (147789 bytes)

Hard to see but the water fall/stream is completed.

Ruby-bridge.jpg (122923 bytes)05-17-01  Finely finished the covered bridge last night so I put it in place this evening and gave it a run.  Nice project and plans from Garden Texture.  Looks Great on the layout!  When I have the time I will do a little write up with additional pictures.

05-17-01  Also added another siding to service my station this evening.  It gives us another place to park our locomotives during a steam-up as well.

05-14-01  Another great day of Steam last Saturday when 5 of us got together for 6+ hours of "Boiling Water in the Back Yard!"

2001-04-14.jpg (174555 bytes)04-14-01  What do you see?  A pool?  I see a 1,250 sq/ft Railway Empire Expansion with a observation deck and a pond.  How's that for an active imagination!  See the "What Now" section for some minor details.

03-28-01  Actually got to go out and work on the layout for 3 hours tonight.  Got a bit cold but it felt good to get back at it.  I put the Tunnel Support back in place so check my update to the Lumber, Portals and Walls page for a few pictures.

03-27-01  For those into Live Steam, what do you think about Accucraft's new line of Locomotives?  They are indicating they will have C-16s, a Shay, 2-4-2 Ruby #4, a Forney Ruby #5, a Heisler and a K-27.  This is great for the Live Steam people and the "G" Scale hobby in general.

bullet 06-22-00  My first disaster but only a minor one!  The same tree that has been falling into the neighbors yard decided to make a deposit on the layout.  It only has one limb left and I hope to cut that out before it does some real damage.  Images:  Another Damage shot.  A test run with Ruby.
