The Layout

01-04-08 Well, below is what used to be. Now is the time to get caught up with the newest DC&H line before it has to move again. Yep, believe it or not, we are going to have to move again. The same general area of the state but a little farther from the shopping, subdivisions and noise. I did not take the time to document here what I have now and it's going to be time to move again before I know it. So I had better stop wasting time and get to updating.

My Garden "OLD" Railway Layout.

	01-04-08 Wow, has it really been 6 1/2 years since I updated this area? I am sure there are things to add. The DC&H made great progress at its old home in Troy, MI. With the help of good friends, mostly Fred, it progressed from a small area about 25 x 20 to a more expansive 25 x 80. Lets put a few pictures together to get a quick perspective. The Troy layout

	05-07-01 The weather has really been great this spring. I spent all last weekend on landscaping the first section of my layout. I re-worked a little track on the fence side of the layout and built up a birm of dirt using landscaping stones. Then we put in a small pond and added a bunch of plants. The other landscaping stones in the middle of the layout are place holders for building to come.
	04-24-01 Well Phase II, also know as the Pool Expansion, is coming along nicely. The weather here is supposed to be sunny all week and weekend so there will be a lot of work going on. Check out the photo page. There is still a lot of dirt and sand to move but I'm getting excited about laying some track and starting on the pond.
	One day last week a club friend of mine came over and we spent a few hours working on the layout. We added 2 turnouts, 25 foot of track and put in the first bridge I built. Then this last weekend I put out the depot I built with my Pola water tower. It's actually starting to look like a real layout. 04-09-01 Additional Pictures

	Changes. I have learned a few things over the summer about creating a layout and some changes are underway. 10-05-00
	Spring has Sprung! The weather has defiantly been a factor but I hope to start working again soon. 05-30-00
	First Planting. A little shopping on Saturday and some nice weather Sunday made for a great day on the layout. 04-23-00
	The First Loop. A great day in Michigan leads to the first track laid on the DC&H Railway. 04-18-00
	Progress Continues. The layout takes another step forward with the installation of tunnel portals and retaining walls, the building of the river beds and a small start on the rail beds. 03-28-00
	Breaking ground! Started moving sod and I have the back ache to prove it! 03-05-00
	Picked the spot! Finally decided on a spot to start my railroading empire. 2-26-00
